I had to pay a speeding ticket yesterday. I was going 14 over! When did you get your last ticket and what was it for?

I was totally guilty! When the cop came to my window, his first words were, “do you know why I pulled you over”? I immediately said, “I was speeding and didn’t realize it until I saw you”. 🤣🤣

Speeding! I was going 18 over, it was New Year’s Eve, so they were out! I tried everything to get out of it! I even tried flirting, I had a strong suspicion he was gay. That really pissed him off! Now I realize the cop that pulled you over was probably gay. How could anyone give that face a ticket? 😊

My car was in the shop at the time and I was borrowing someone else's car that as luck would have it had a loud muffler. And I got pulled over (ironically by a guy I used to go to high school with) and he wrote me for a loud muffler. There was 2 other things he said he could have wrote me for but the loud muffler was the cheapest one. It was only like 28 bucks.

I would say it’s hard to believe, but this was actually the first time I was pulled over! It worked against me, he said I can afford to get a ticket because it won’t really affect me, and will make more conscious in the future.

I've never gotten a ticket. I've been pulled over 6 times. 5 of 6 times the cops were very respectful and kind.

• 1 time for not having plates. I was omw to get plates.
• 3 times for the same headlight.
• 1 time for speeding. It was a federal cop, so technically he had no jurisdiction over the law I had broken and couldn't give me a ticket since I wasn't endangering anybody.
• 1 time because the cop was just mad. Sooo story time.

I was driving through a neighborhood going 20 (speed limit was 25) and a cop had pulled someone over (there were two lanes going each way).
He jumped out of his car into the left lane (which i was in) and in front of me, so I had to slam on the brakes not to hit him.
He then proceeded to lean through the passenger window screaming mad at me for 5-10 minutes for "driving like a maniac" but somehow was unable to list a single thing I had done wrong. He did not end up giving me a ticket because of that.
I think he was stressed since a cop had just been shot on that street earlier that day, but still. Flipping out for no reason and leaning through a window (which completely restricted his access to his lethal and non-lethal weapons) is a sure way to get knifed or shot. Hopefully he got fired or retired before that happened.

Yeah, this was my first. He gave it to me because I had a spotless record. He actually made it sound like if this ticket would cause problems, like losing my license, he would have given me a break but since it wouldn’t cause me problems, he gave it to me! That seems backwards to me.

I was going home. There is a road that has crazy speed limits! It is 55 for about a mile, then drops to 45 for a mile, then back up to 55. It does this for about 6 miles! People get pulled over all the time. It’s CA, nothing makes sense.

Typically speeding is anything over 5 over, so, if it's 35 and you're going 40, they're usually ok with that, but, anything over 5 over the limit, is speeding
