Which of these types of movies would you most like to see made?

1. A high budget historical drama based on a real king/kingdom of an African country.
2. A black Joy Luck Club style movie centered around the generational story of the women in a family.
3. An Inception style well made psychological thriller with an all black cast.

1. Would be great AS LONG AS the main points of the story were actually true. Obviously *some* creative license is likely to be taken - a few characters made up or some minor drama between characters invented, etc., as these happen in nearly all movies - but the main historical points need to be accurate. Africa is certainly going to be full of interesting historical stories that would make great movies.

2. I have no interest in this, but such movies are targeted at women in the first place.

3. This would be pure wokeness (an all-black cast) unless it was set in Africa (and maybe not even then). The fact is that there is too much integration in the modern world for you to set a story in a major city without an integrated cast. This doesn't mean it couldn't be predominantly black - Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta, and a number of other US cities would be completely believable with a majority-black cast. By the same token, in modern times, even places that are overwhelmingly white, such as Maine or Wisconsin, there are still going to be some black people, and it would make sense for a movie set in modern times to reflect that.

It would be different if you were making a "small" movie - Friday being a good example - where it was set and contained in a black neighborhood of a major city. But an Inception-type movie is going to encompass a much larger area, and you would inevitably involve some white people.

I should add here that there have been great movies that have depicted the black experience in what were then largely "white" events - Glory (Revolutionary War), the Tuskegee Airmen (WWII), and most recently Hidden Figures (Cold War/Space Race). Those are all fantastic movies and more of those would also be welcome.

No one has a problem with black characters (much less black actors) - we have a problem with TERRIBLE WRITING that is the inevitable result of directors, producers, and writers who prioritize wokeness over storytelling. Simply race- or gender-swapping a character is NOT good writing. We want our black characters to have the same depth and the same struggles and to earn their way through their stories just like any other character. You know, like the vast majority of movies in the 90s and 2000s. Give me more Denzel and Morgan Freeman-quality characters! That's a win for everyone.

Anthony Mackie (who I like!) taking over Captain America (a blatant woke race-swap) rather than remaining his own character and having his own movie as The Falcon is exactly the kind of sloppy seconds that EVERYONE should reject. Why can't we have a great Falcon movie? (The answer is: the woke people want to DESTROY "white characters" - especially male ones - and they aren't shy about it.)

I like cool black guys characters who's classy and sassy, without the rudeness. Aka think more Denzel or think more (black guy in Top Gun Maverick) that guy, as opposed to a Will Smith or a Samuel Jackson who felt too cringey in Die Hard 2, cringey 😞😔 no one likes being preached to about racials issues. I enjoy life light heartedly without coldly
