What should I do if there is 90% of war might start in Europe and my country is the first place of where it would start?

So basiclly when war In Ukraine started many people got frightened even in my country. On one side we have Kaliningrad most military place in whole Russia and other side is Belarusia which is helping russia with war and small part with Poland less than 50km. So all the time Lithiania was expecting that It will be protected by NATO and now guy from Nato came and said you know Lithuanians didn't understand Nato documents and you will have to defend your self for 2 weeks or maybe months. My country is small and dont even have its own tanks 😀. We have offten cyber attacks news dont even cover it and I know people from Lithuania defece that say its only question of time when war starts. I have here House, land, apartament and job i like so and I dont want to leave. But than staying is suicide. What should I do? To apply for assylum no country give it until there is war.

you are correct to worry. this is real not fear mongering.

Lithuania borders belorus... from Belarus russia attacked ukraine and could same for your Lithuania.

russia has hundreds of tanks in storage it could send.

as you said zero battle tanks there, and zero warplanes too. just 4 helicopter for transport and five transport planes.

nato' scattered 5,000 troops in baltic states, but only some are by you.

u. s. has some soldiers there, recently around 700 sent from its armor brigade and regiment.

on the other hand russia tanks are old so u. s. technology javelin shoulder missiles etc. could destroy many... so not "suicide to stay" just suffering being in a war zone is awful.

it does seem almost certain russia will attack because russia doesn't want nato' to focus on defending ukraine but force to scatter its troops.

the only comfort is you have time until troops gather in belarus. and that your artillery is useful for defence even without any tanks or warplanes.

in 1943 u. s. troops in africa only had artillery.

nazi tank columns stormed toward them suppoerted with hundreds of foot soldiers... but u. s. had not sent tanks there!

but they=we, used artilery! destroying many tanks so others retreated to the coast.

the next horror was the order for nazi soldiers to run at the americans without help from tanks!

again u. s. shelled the approaching soldiers.

it seems germany didn't want to transport them across Mediterranean so sent all those hundreds to die under artillery.

anyway the relevant point is: your artilery and u. s troops with defence rockets are a reliable defence so some comfort.

There are about 10k Nato troops in the Baltics at present.
Both Op Steadfast Defender and Op Dragon are focused on that area.

Additionally Lithuania is purchasing leopard 2 Tanks.

there has been NATO QRA for bloody ages operating between Estonia and Lithuania. I think it’s started 2004/2005.

Don't take the actual dangers too seriously, there is no other war coming for Europe. Grinding up large parts of his army for a failed attempt to take over Ukraine will be Putin's eternal legacy. Even the mentally enslaved citizens in his own country will come to realize that.

Make plans. I suffered, and badly, for having to flee without long-term plans in place, and that was within a country to dodge social insanity; much milder than fleeing a country to avoid war.
