Where would WORLD WAR 3 start?

Question

A third world war (World War 3) may or may not ever happen. But if it did, where do you think it would start? Please vote in the poll and add a comment if you like.

I think it will be a trade war with gray zone ops in the worse case.

We tend to think of WW3 being a nuclear exchange but the premier nuclear league is a three handed game now. I know little game theory but a three handed raises the possibility of dictators to collude but also to betray which isn't part of the old two handed game.

If Russia nuked the US then the US has to respond and nuke Russia. What about China? China could choose to take out the US or Russia or sit tight. Or maybe take both out. Too imponderable. Would Putin trust Xi and Xi trust Putin.

A conventional war could happen and feels likely wrt China & Taiwan (& Philippines & Japan & South Korea & Vietnam). China is being very belligerent but can they realistically hope to have a hot war and for the West to continue to buy their junk? China has to think about whether it is a good idea to piss the customers off.

I think it is more likely China will intensify grey zone operations and seek to pysch out the countries bordering the South China Sea. There will be deniable third parties like Houthi.

Overall I think Peter Zeihan is on the money in that their will be a Global Order collapse and consequential collapse in global trade with supply line disruptions. Quite bad but better than a nuclear war and better than a major conventional war.

First. Because china will attack taiwan. S. Korea japan u. s. and australia would side with taiwan.

N. korea russia and iran with china.

Saudi respond by joining taiwan and bombing iran. Iran nukes saudi. Saudi allies in region respond attack iran and ask u. s. to nuke iran.

It doesn't.

Iran saw it got away with it and nukes saudi allies. Then u. s. makes coalitions for both regions and in one year conquers all of china and iran. But when they leave iran, the afghanistan repeats in iran. But world war ended.

Middle easts been going on forever, I think the worlds given up on a solution there.
America is a possibility. Lot of division and hatred at the minute. A state v state war could see European countries side with their favoured state in the hopes of being rewarded after victory. This leads to conflict in Europe which the Russians take advantage of.

Or why does it have to start with a country? Some organisations have a bigger budget than a lot of countries. What's stopping Musk from weaponizing his rockets or creating a private army.

WWIII will likely start on multiple fronts. We already have a proxy-war in Ukraine! Not to mention that Israel and Hamas are at war as well! If China invades Taiwan, in my opinion we’ll already be IN World War Three!

Note: There is no World War III when we don’t appease world leaders like Europe did.
Putin will be the catalyst since we’ve seen the Allies portion. Iran Missiles ➡️Russia ⬅️China Drones
Let us not forget a specific ⬆️ North Korea’s Military Backing. When we stand tall with our allies, we don’t cause World War III.
This is the biggest possible conflict that could start since the Iron Curtain. Ukraine must stand their ground with support of the world or else we lose Europe then get ourselves into a bigger conflict with boots on the ground.
Note: Ukraine doesn’t want boots on the ground however if Russia were to push ahead…. We may have no choice so, that is why we need Aid to Ukraine.

There is conversation that we are in the preliminary stages of WW3, I believe it will start of with a conventional attack on Nato aircraft who are on QRA or the Russians decide to hit a staging base inside Romania or Baltic country. Saying that North Korea is providing Russia with ammunition (shells etc) annd troops, Russia must be providing something in return, this is likely something the North can use on the South, having a Psycho on your side gives you a lot of plausible deniability.

I don't see anyone in Europe starting WW3 given Russia is soo weak conventionally. They would have to be dumb enough to invade Russia.
I don't see anyone caring enough about the middle east to start WW3.
South America doesn't have any real animosities much less Militarizes and nobody is going to start WW3 over what happens there.

China & Taiwan is possible but more like China & the Philippines or Japan..

America is overdue and now thanks to those in power we have 10 to 15 million potential terrorists unknown here and we don't have a clue as to where they live. For example, there is one address in AZ that has 10,000 illegals living there known by Homeland Security and the Border Patrol.
