When the moon began to obscure the sun, casting its shadow upon us, I sensed an imbalance in the olfactory realm. The eclipse, with its mysterious celestial energy, seemed to disrupt the very air we breathed. I feared that the delicate senses of my skunk, so accustomed to our world of potent aromas, might be overwhelmed by this sudden shift.
In a split second, I made a decision that only someone like me could comprehend. I strategically released a powerful fart, a carefully cultivated blend of fermented avocado, Limburger cheese, and a hint of rotten eggs. It was my own personal protective shield, a barrier of stench to counteract the eclipse's potential effects.
I know it may seem absurd to many, but for Stenchley, who looked decidedly worried as the daylight faded prematurely, it was a moment of aromatic camaraderie. A symphony of odors, enveloped him in a familiar embrace, ensuring that his own distinctive scent would remain undisturbed amidst the cosmic chaos. As the moon moved on and the sun reemerged, Stenchley and I emerged unscathed, our bond strengthened by yet another odiferous adventure.
Our dog is staying inside... we're not in totality, only 80%
@purplepoppy Per the eclipse map I was watching, you should have been just inside the outer edge of the sun's shadow, around 1900 GMT. Did you see anything?
No, way too cloudy to see anything
I’m staying inside.

Not the best picture but Niagara Falls which is an hr drive from where I live declared a state of emergency because million of people will probably go there to watch it. I hope folks have eye insurance
I sadly don't have any pets but I'd definitely protect their eyes. I'm currently using binoculars however.

@purplepoppy using your bra for protection? Nice
My pets do not care much about the eclipse as they spend their time in big acquatriums where IT is dim and humid.
I saw the eclipse today with special sunglasses. It was awesome
Are they that female American politician's horses, that crackpot Marjorie Green (or whatever her name is)?
Lovely and funny picture with the horses and bras, be it for the sake of an eclipse or not. An excellent idea to recycle bras by the way ;0)
do bras have uv protection? that should be a thing though with all the breast cancer
sweet!
Ours was in the house and we didn't have much of an eclipse this far south.
i guess their instinct is "don't look."
No one protected them before humans came into existence, so I think they'll be fine
Exactly. Why do you think the dinosaurs really went extinct
It was a meteor. I know. 'cuz I visited the impact site back in January
to kos, meteor, biden was eyewitness to it. j. k.
They are inside until I get home. They are safe
Nope I don't have any animals to protect
C cup eyeballs?
do they have bras and panties? lmao 🤣
It's not going to effect me here so I'm chillin
you are covering their eyes with your bras lmaooo
Funny how lack of excited they were.
I'm sorry but that photo haha 😄
