I finally got home, today!!
There's ONLY ONE BUS up here and it NEVER EVER runs ANYWHERE CLOSE to being on schedule!!|
Tuesday, I needed to go the drug store in my old neighborhood (4 miles from here) to get more pills that I ran out of. I looked up their closing time online and said they were open `til 8:00! They sell Lottery tickets so I KNOW they're open `til at LEAST 7:00! I thought, maybe they stayed open `til 7:30 in case somebody local wins and they wanna come in and collect immediately after the drawing.
Well, I checked the bus schedules and, according to them, it looked like I could easily get there by just after 7:00. There's a bus from here that only takes 3:00 to get me to where I catch the next bus which takes about 10:00 to get me to the drug store! If everything ran like clockwork, the whole trip should've only taken 42:00!!
Well, I left the house a couple minutes BEFORE 6:30 to catch a bus from here that was SUPPOSED to show up at 6:44!! It takes me 3:00 to walk to the bus stop! That means, I was there 11:00 before the bus was due!! Motherfucker showed up at 7:23!! Nearly an HOUR after I got to the stop!! At this point, 7:23 is when I was SUPPOSED to be catching my connecting bus!! Had the first bus bothered to show the fuck up on time, I would've made the connecting bus at 6:59 and only had to wait about 12:00!! Luckily, THAT bus (the 7:23) was about 5:00 late so, I had no problem catching that! I got to the stop near the store and, by the time I got to the store, about 45 seconds later (7:48), they were already closed!! On the door, it says that they close at 7:00!! Had I known that, I would've NEVER bothered going!! So, I went back to the bus stop, caught the next bus back to where I just was 15:00 before!! The bus coming up here was due at 8:25!! The bus I caught to get me there made it to that stop at at least 8:10! I sat there waiting for the 8:25 for nearly an hour!! It took me over 2 hours to take a trip via bus that I could've easily made in 95:00 on foot!!
Today, I made the trip again because, obviously, I didn't get the pills on Tuesday! I left the house around 5:30 intent on catching a bus at 5:54!! So, I was at the stop a GOOD 22:00 before it was due! NO FUCKING WAY IN HELL could I have POSSIBLY missed it!! Motherfucker FINALLY showed the fuck up by 6:30!! 15:00 before the next bus was due!! Again, it got me to my connecting stop a few minutes after that bus was due so, rather than sit there and wait for the next one in about 20:00, I high-tailed it about half a mile from there to where another bus that would also get me where I was going was due about 6:00 after I got to THAT stop! I caught it with no problem and only had to wait about 5:00. I got to the store at 6:40, got the pills I needed and left by 6:48. My next bus back to where I catch my bus here was at 7:15. I had at least 25:00 to kill. The bus showed up roughly on time (+/- 2:00) and got me to my connecting stop at least 11:00 before my bus up to here was due (at 7:34)! Motherfucker never showed the fuck up `til nearly 8:30!! 5:00 AFTER the NEXT bus was due!! Again, it took me OVER 3 hours via buses to make a trip I could've made on foot in 95:00!! So, I didn't get breakfast until over 8 hours after I got up!!
I SHOULD'VE walked but, the way things go with me, as soon as I started walking, the fucking bus would blow right past me!! I CAN'T win for losing!!

A woman that I knew for the better part of a decade broke my heart. I trusted her implicitly. All the while I was a long con for her. When I woke up to who she really was it messed me up for over a year. But it was a good thing in the long run. Because I was hopeless romantic before. I believed in the goodness of people. I don't hate. But I will never love with my whole heart again. And I don't hide that. I will tell any woman I'm with that there will always be a part of my heart that will never be thiers. I'm sure you can imagine how well that goes over. But I think all of this is a good thing. Because I can never be broken again. Because of her I am unbreakable now.

I got cheated on BUT I avoided a life of misery, abuse, violence, drug usage and manipulation. Seems like a win in my books.

hmm out of a challenging situation I gained resilience

I left my last job on bad terms. I took a $3/hour pay cut to work for my current employer. Six months after I left, my old manager realized what a horrible mistake he'd made in making me leave; the place fell completely apart and everyone else on my team quit as well. He in turn left several months later.

A guy I worked with took his spot and tried to get me to come back. By that time though, it was too late. I'd gotten a promotion that paid $10,000 per year more than what I was making when I left the last place. They wouldn't have been able to match that.

My elderly neighbor often brings donuts, and that is a good thing, but the bad thing is I got to watch my sweets. Lol

I now have a zest for life after coming close to death. I live every day to the fullest.
