Is it a surprise for men that not all Latina/hispanic women are religious nor believe in a god?

Some of us are atheists. We exist in fewer numbers obviously but we're out there. No I'm not a white woman. I'm Mexican-American.

Is this a surprise for men? I respect everyone's beliefs but hate it when fanatics try shoving their religion into me.

The religious Latina stereotype was 20 years ago honey. I never met anyone who thinks Latinos as a whole are super religious anymore. It's the older generation who are more devout.

What's in right now is that stupid "crazy/psycho Latina" stereotype, unfortunately.

Being an atheist doesn't make you crazy or psycho. There are crazy, psychotic religious folks too. If anything, the religious fanatics trying to convert others are the crazy ones.

I hate stereotypes. For some reason, a couple men think it's funny and cute for Latinas to be a fiery and short-tempered girlfriend. It's actually not funny at all. It's toxic.
