Do you see gentrification as a good or bad thing? Why or why not?

Yes obviously it's a good thing. When areas of civilization are in decay, they need to be either renovated or redeveloped in order to keep civilization from crumbling into dust. It wouldn't be an issue if people actually maintained where they lived to begin with, but there is a culture of decay and destruction in many poor communities.
This is for the boys who think that girls did nothimg I am being a girl I get paid over 200$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. here's what I’ve been doing..
AND GOOD LUCK.:)

I've seen some examples of gentrification that I would consider good and others that I would not.
I've seen places where the character of a community was actually ruined by gentrification. Sometimes the architecture and community details are not well planned and it takes a community with character and turns it into a cookie cutter generic community.
So I think it depends on the quality of the planning and execution.

It is outright evil. Its entire purpose is just to make more money for the people who own the land by making it unaffordable for the people who already live there...
Gentrification is not evil. I cared for a child with special needs who lived in an area where the people were selling drugs , shooting and fighting in front of kids regularly. The city got tired and Gentrified that area. It needed to happen.
most things in life are good for some and that same time bad for others...
that's how most things work, unfortunately
Bad if it bullies the poor, good if some arrangements are made by which the long-time residents can stay without having to pay exorbitant rent and perhaps get a chance to buy a less-pricey home in the area.
It's pushing the middle class out of NYC and that makes it even more expensive for locals n tourists. It's NOT to be encouraged. Build affordable housing instead.
It usually results in better scenery and better restaurants, but it really trashes people with little or no money.
It’s either this or bringing back redlining.
It is what is.
