Yes we should. The biggest barrier to an areas prosperity after the behaviour of the locals is how it looks. Nobody wants to visit a rundown high street with nothing but charity shops, bookies and off-licences. Nobody wants to invest in a business knowing it's going to be daubbed in graffiti come night fall and half your customers are just there to shoplift.

I'd also support the forced closure of crap shops selling tat and fine those that don't keep the outside of their shops clean and well maintained. Rhyl in North Wales is a good example, cracked windows, flaking paint on dirty shops selling nothing but cheap Chinese plastic shit and the council can't understand why no one goes there on holiday anymore
