How do you reward yourself after completing difficult or boring tasks?

My mom told me that when I was young and learning to walk, I would climb to the top of the steps and then pat myself on the back when I reached the top. Then I'd go back down and do it again.

I do something similar in adulthood. Just quick little " at'a boy" and then move on to the next thing.
