I honestly think it’s a bit tiring, it’s not something I like very much to do. I usually clean deeply when I’m having guests (every 3-4 days) since I want them to see a clean and tidy place.
When I’m not having guests I just do basic chores and they don’t give me any relaxation, since I usually come home very tired from work.
If I have to find something relaxing, I’d prefer washing dishes or cooking.00 Reply

I love the house being super clean , but honestly I hate cleaning it , I'm just working on getting a new cleaner , I just get monthly then that way I clean prior to them coming , they do an awesome clean , and dont waste their time with the stuff I did , then when they have gone --WOW ! Love it.
Just ordered a decent vacuum cleaner yesterday too , awaiting delivery Lazarda.

+1 yI like house cleaning because it's finite. Unlike my job, where there will always be more work tomorrow, when I put the dishes away, they are all put away. When I dust, room by room, they all get dusted. It's a task that gets complete. I can take pride in the work I have done.

m +1 yA lot depends which bit of house work, I hate ironing with a passion.
Vacuuming, washing dishes, laundry as in the washing n drying clothes fine with that.
Some of it is fairly relaxing, unless just as you finish tidying up, one of your cats is sick…

+1 yI clean as I go... it's just part of not sitting on my ass all day. I don't find it tiring or relaxing. It's just something that needs to get done... like brushing my teeth, or washing my balls.

Yes, I washed my balls 00 Reply- 826 opinions shared on Other topic.

It is exhausting as a thought.
As a process it is cathartic and as an end result it gives me relief.20 Reply- 4.7K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yIt's actually quite relaxing to watch the Missus doing it :D
As she's fully of the local culture - I don't fully agree with what she considers to be ''house cleaning''. Therefore, I fully detached myself from it so that we will not argue too frequently.

+1 ySOMETIMES I like doing the dishes since it is a mindless activity and I can feel like I am accomplishing something without using my brain. But I usually only enjoy it if everything else on my todo list is even worse so it helps me procrastinate without so much guilt.

So in practice I tend to just leave it. I mean my home 2 days after cleaning and 2 weeks after cleaning tend to be much the same.00 Reply
+1 yIt depends it can be both. Sometimes I'm tired and I look at a mess and I'm think "oh fuck me"...
Sometimes though I'll watch YT or listen to an audiobook and it's fine and I feel productive. I also plan to do it sometimes knowing I'll be doing it and that's also usually better

+1 yI'd say its more just light maintenance, not exausting but not relaxing either, about as much effort as personal hygeine, pet care, or making food.
I'm a relatively tidy person though, so cleaning is not much work.00 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yFind it funny guys are answering more, but I'm not sexist. I do when I just got off of work, and I'm hungry, but you see dogshit on the floor from the new Yorky puppy, dishes are scattered in the sink because your SO had the important meeting and woke up late after eating breakfast. The trash needs to be brought to the curb becausr the pool guy didn't show up because he's a putz, and the AC is off for some reason.
