Do you enjoy cleaning and keeping spaces organized, or do you usually see it as a chore that you only do when it’s necessary? Why and why not? I like cleaning, I turn on some music and go for it😊

I used to see it as a burden but now i see it's much more draining to NOT do things like this than it could ever be to do them.
Cause we know we're supposed to clean things more but constantly lie to ourselves about the importance.
It's pretty satisfying to get it done, done fast, and done right and brainstorm ways to make it faster. Like heating dishes a bit before scrubbing so the food scraps don't stick and form annoying solid food bits that take longer to get off.
Plus, apparently there's a sizable portion of ladies who think it's hot when a man contributes to the home. Leaving no reason for me not to keep looking for ways to do chores faster and more effectively.
It's pretty satisfying to see a spotless mirror, I found i had a hobby where I'd polish metal. Revive old, ugly metal and shine it until I could see my reflection. While polishing bronze is definitely more fun than polishing dishes, one is necessary and the other is just a hobby.
So I'll find ways to merge my desire to make things sparkle with doing chores faster and better. I was thinking of getting a bronze justice balance beam in the future, and put that in the center.
Every day, I'd shine the beam after completing all other chores. If there's a black spot on there, I'm not doing my job, and the beam will serve as a symbolic representation of the condition of the home
I tend to keep things organized but messy enough that it is a real workspace.
Ok😄
Yes and no. I like the act of cleaning and organizing, but only on weekends or when Im not busy. I find after work I am exhausted and dont have the capacity.
I totally understand …I try to keep stuff organized and clean so I don’t have to do a lot of things after work
I like clean spaces.. But I hate doing it myself. My place is usually a mess 😅
If it’s messy, that’s totally fine 😄
Don't be lazy, little potato

I keep my space pretty orderly. My wife is a slob though... same with kids. When I'm the only one picking up after themself and ending up cleaning up after them too... that's when I no longer enjoy the task. I start to resent. I give up and will let the trash build up.
Now on the other hand, a space that stays clean until I cause the need for it to be cleaned again feels different. I'll keep that shit so clean that I look homosexual. I'm talking like my van life van... my studio... my condos before I ever got into a relationship... shit is clean and I enjoyed cleaning it. It was a point of pride.
You reminded me of David Beckham when he talked about staying up late to clean his house because he’s a very neat, organized person 😄
That's strange... When I was in Japan I had people asking me for autographs because they thought I was that guy. I searched it and he's some soccor/football player right? Either that or a swimmer. I'm to the point of feeling alarmed every time I'm compared tto this same guy that looks like me... but apparently he behaves like me too? Doppelganger stuff.
Omg.. are you serious 😄
That’s really weird, he is a famous British soccer player
But, I immediately thought of him when I read your comment
It's strange... I looked up his pictures. I sort of see it. I'm more blonde (lighter colored eyes too) and have bigger chest muscles... I could be a stunt double though. It's just really strange. I had a couple of chicks offer me a 3some in the elevator up to my condo all because they thought I was him (I didn't do it). In taxi's they always ask if I'm him. I'm not Brit so I don't even know who he is... I don't even watch sports... I'll play sports, but watching sports... not me. It's just strange because that comparison gets made at a rate of about once every 4 months at this point and it's been going on for like 10 years.
I clean as i go so nothing builds up to demand special attention. Laundry is different, but that’s my favorite chore cuz i can binge my shows the whole time.
Of course
Yes I enjoy being organized. By being more organized, you can actually help minimize the need for cleaning. Plus you can have a net savings of time because you fall into a pattern of knowing exactly what is where whenever you need to use it. [ Can you imagine if a Wendy's or McD store moved all the tools and provisions every day or two? Total chaos. ]
Either way, organizing and cleaning ARE both "chores", as in something that is really required in everyday life.
Yes, I do.
I keep my house clean, so there is never much to do around here.
Same for me 😊
Cleaning, sure. I enjoy it.
But organizing is a nightmare to me.
They say the smartest people are the messy ones 😄
Same here I always have something going on it just maje life easier
Yeah, it’s a very good strategy 😄
I don't enjoy cleaning. That's why I keep things neat and organized, try not to make a mess, and clean as I go so that I don't have to go on major cleaning binges.
I feel so lazy to clean most of the time, but I definitely do feel better and more productive in a clean and organized space. It definitely affects my energy.
yes, it helps with my depression, mind, and mood. on the other hand, yes it absolutely feels like an impossible task. but since it makes me feel so much better after, i have to
Oh, most definitely. I've often advertised my willingness to provide free maid service for women and couples in the past.
I’m a clean freak and annoy my wife with it lol. It’s something that needs to be done for me to function properly.
It's satisfying when it's done but I am nlt a fan of the process lol
I like doing it.. especially at the end when everything is clean and organized but i usually a neat person who keeps stuff clean and organized in general
You probably have it organized in such a way that it doesn't entropy in a frustrating way which I love for you lol
Thanks 😊
Both. I'm a neat freak. Cleaning is a chore but I prefer it to living in a mess.
Not really. I do but it's just something I have to do to make things run smoothly.
@ElenaSeluna I always like everything neat and orderly.
I am a little OCD so yes I like my spaces clean & organized. As for enjoying cleaning I don't enjoy doing it.
Chore, but loading the dishwasher isn’t so bad

I like to keep tidy, sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's a horrible chore!
I wish everything would stay clean dust not exist. I really don’t like cleaning, but I make myself do it.
Yes I enjoy cleaning and washing 🧼🧹 🫧 when it's not a chore 😄 or for work
I actually don’t like cleaning, but I love how satisfying it is to see how clean and organized my home looks once I’m done cleaning.
Yes. I like my stuff to be clean and organized.
Same here 😊
