I'd say disappointed but not surprised. It doesn't matter, though, they don't actually pick the bear. If they were alone in the woods being chased by a bear and saw a man, they would go running to him for help.

When women pose this stupid hypothetical to you, they are asking you to validate their fear of men's strength and capabilities to do bad things to women. They want the men in their lives to understand their struggle and make them feel safe. They don't care about the actual logic behind it.

Nowadays nothing surprises so guys if you meet that special someone don’t get married because she rather choose a bear.

In one forest you have a woman & a hungry bear that hasn’t eaten in days.

In another forest you have a woman & a hungry man that hasn’t eaten in days.

If she chooses the bear good luck because she’ll wish she didn’t.

no because I posted a similar question but specifically made it a black bear vs a black man and it got removed because it throws a monkey wrench in the whole man vs bear idiocy

deep down those same women want to get away with sexism but they know they can't get away with racism and those women choosing bear are mad there are men who refuse to be complicit in their own demonization

It's not "most women" It's the same loud minority that love to virtue signal on the internet thinking they're so edgy and fighting the evil patriarchy.

And ultimately. I'd say give em their wish: we'd have a few happy and fed bears. No more whining and complaining and "yasss queen"

The bear, or a guy walking his dog paying her no attention whatsoever.. 99% would choose the man and his dog. But, a man on his own walking through a forest? I can see how a woman would be terrified of that situation..

i wonder if they have any rough guess as to what percentage chance they have of surviving each encounter... but that would need rational thought, which in my experience isn't what women prefer.
