Do people actually mute or block people on IG because their significant other isn't attractive?

I know it sounds like a silly question, but I saw a post that said

"just had to unfollow someone on ig because their boyfriend is so ugly that seeing him was ruining my instagram experience"

And the thing is, is that I saw majority of the people in the comment section (mostly women based on the profile pictures) agree with the post. Kinda caught me off guard. So is it true? If that's the case, then I'm screwed lol 😆

Well you have a girlfriend so what does their opinion matter?

And 2 if they'll block her cause of your looks they weren't really her friend so she's better off without them anyways.

Basically, the way I think it works is, if you're not a member of their tribe, you're not welcome. That's one more thing you can thank the Dems for, dividing everyone up, for political purposes.
