Many web spinners do fly. Obviously they haven’t developed wings. They do something called “ballooning”. They release enough silk into a breeze to produce enough wind resistance to counteract their body weight, and off they go! If you’ve ever stumbled into a spider web in open space that is unlikely to foster fixed webs, you probably caught yourself a spider in flight. Or it caught you! Ell oh ell!
Spiders have been documented in flight hundreds of feet above the ground. Some of the current research is meant to discover how many species can and do balloon, how often and why.
