I'd say it is definitely girls.

They are the ones famous for loving to go shopping, and they are the ones who tend to spend a ton of money on useless little things like nails, expensive hair treatments, buying new handbags when they have more then one already, buying many shoes, etc. All to satisfy there whims which come and go like the flick of a thumb. lol

You’re really leaning hard into those stereotypes there bud. And yeah, there are women who will gladly pay money for that but I’ve rarely met someone with a full acrylic set and a balayage that was living outside her means.


Women will spend money on things they like, which typically aren’t all that pricey in comparison to the stuff marketed to men. I’ve known guys that would drop hundreds on a specific collectible figurine, or even a pair of sneakers, and a lot of specifically male-coded hobbies that I know of off the top of my head, ie grilling, smithing, model-making, cars, those can all come with some pretty pricey bits and baubles. And while most men’s clothes are generally made cheaper, it really depends on where they’re buying it from and how much quality they want in their clothing. Some men really like a high-quality luxury flannel to use as an overshirt so they have no problem dropping $80 for one at Express.


It’s all relative, stereotypes are considered inaccurate for a reason.

Definitely men. y'all be buying big toys. Boats, guns, tools, video games, cars/motorcycles/jet skis. I'm sure there's more but that's just what came to my mind.

I didn't even realize this till my mom brought up how difficult it is to shop for gifts for my dad and brothers as adults because they literally only want big toys 😆 women are easy to shop for because they want reasonable priced small gifts like soap, candles, makeup, clothes. So think when buying things for ourselves it's pretty similar

These things that you mention are pricier true, but they can last you for many many years if not for life if you take care of them. If I buy a rifle for example it will likely last me a lifetime. You on the other hand spend less on each item but you do it much more frequently because they last far less. Getting your nails done for example. In addition you also request very pricey things sometimes like diamonds, cars, expensive handbags and clothes too cost a fortune when its a girl wardrobe. So I throw the ball back in your court. hehehe

Personally I've never gotten my nails done or bought a expensive handbag/clothing/diamonds.
And men collect guns so a lot of them have a collection and buy them constantly. Same with other activities men do like video games. There's always some new game or console coming out to buy

Also a lot of things women buy like nails/hair/clotbes is to look good for dating or work. So it's not really for them. It's to maintain a look. Some jobs require women to wear makeup

Guys without a doubt, girls might buy clothes etc, however guys tend to buy things like Tech, Cars, motorbikes, mountain bikes.

for example it’s easy to go out and buy a car for £50k without blinking, then a few months later a new mountain bike for say £3k, a new tv which tend to be £2k. It would take a girl a good number of years for her clothes to match my spend on cars, tech and bikes.

Oh and then there is buying houses, single guys tend to (but not always) make more money than single girls, this means we can buy a house rather than rent, shove in £500,000 to the mix.

Her spend on clothes is now just not even a blip on the financial radar.

And then there's us, who pay 2 grand for a Nvidia graphics card, buy tools and things for our vehicles, maybe buy overpriced clothes too like specific Nike shoes. If we're smart, we don't Squander our money on Fortnite skins.

I feel if girls want to do their nails and hair, by all means. If it makes them happy.

The main difference id say between guys and girls when it comes to money is that girls waste money because they spend it on things of little value. If we buy tools, damn they can last a life time, and they are very useful. They buy stuff just to feel good at the moment. And they have no shame on doing it. If it makes them feel good then its justified.

Women. Mainly because if thier emotional triggers. This is one of the reasons for the push for women equality. Because the powers that be know if they can get women earning they can market to these highly emotional individuals and tax the hell out of them. Profit motive! It's the American way.😆
