I have a few growing up — the first July 4th was a bicentennial celebration for the Statue of Liberty and the whole family travelled to see it… I was till very little so my uncle propped me up on his shoulders to watch… We were so close to the water that I could feel the heat of the fireworks on my face… scary and super exciting at the same time. On the way back to wherever we were staying for the trip I fell asleep… there’s a funny little pic of my arms crossed over my uncle’s head and my head resting face down; still a young man in of 19/20, he’s laughing in the pic…. Now he’s granddad to 15. 😂
The only one that can compare was one July 4th when my kids were toddlers. We’d spent the day by the lake with the other families in our church group — bbq, kite flying, a little boating and camping games. At night we all went up on a big hill overlooking the lake… I hugged them tight while the fireworks show played out. My younger one was half excited, half scared, sinking deeper into my hug and grabbing my arm without a word, my older one laughing fearlessly and looking up at me to make sure I was watching too….
Good times. Happy 4th everyone. Wishing you all happy moments like these. ☺️🇺🇸🎇
I was 9 years old, my aunt took me and my little sister to a community barbecue celebration. I've seen a lot of fireworks and I don't even talk to her anymore unfortunately. But that 4th of July was the most important and impactful one I've ever had. The fireworks were beautiful.
Usually the Macys display when I was dating my ex wife and we went on a party boat to see it right there
I watch the fireworks on television most years with family - that's what really matters - 📺👀

Probably watching fireworks over water is my fav. Water gives that natural added visual, and the water dampens the roar. Various years with family come to mind, starting young up until recently.
All of my favorites fireworks 🎆 I saw with my son. They were all memoriable because I was with my best buddy!❤️
My family last year Christmas it was amazing...
And it was my first
blew up in my hand... lesson learned
don't squeeze them too tight
I have experienced fireworks many times with my wife.
I laugh at morons who waste 100s of dollars just for the sake of blowing shit up.
