It's currently 104°F outside and someone just walked their dog past. Dog was yanking ahead on the leash obviously not happy. I want to steal her shoes so she has to walk on the baking cement and give the dog a ride home.. grrr

Yes that totally pissed me off. Also when they abandon pets on the side of the road or tape their mouths and paws and throw them in the trash
Absolutely. It's horrific. One of the reasons I dropped instagram is the animal abuse stories.
Yes. Same here. Some of the stories.. just evil.
@dustybiker2 & @Wiredone Me too.
@TommyMountainFigure Good man.
You are welcome.
The Homeowner's Association.
You hit the nail. 100% here too. Currently have a thing with them. How can you fix something if you don't tell us what the problem is? I wish it was easier to liquidate them.
I wouldn't do well in a home owners association. This is because, if some nosy fuck came on my property without permission I would escort them off of my property at gun point. It's why I don't have neighbors for close to mile on either side of me. I value my privacy and autonomy.
Having land is the way to live. Slice of peace.
@worldscolide I'm with you bro. On the upside, once I rent this place out I won't need to worry about stupid crap like if they're mowing the lawn and the HOA does the paint too.

You know what?
Seeing this question made me think of a few pisser-offers, but your mention of our canine friend's feetses made me stop and think about it.
I'd bet that most people wouldn't walk their dogs on hot pavement if they had a clue as to how painful it is for them.
So, yeah, I'm pissed about that IF people do so knowingly, but I'd bet that most folks don't even think about it.
I find myself walking outside barefooted every day on the hot concrete around our swimming pool, and every time I do I end up dancing around like an idiot, either finally finding shade for my tootsies or just getting in the pool to get relief.
So, am I an idiot, am I just being an a-hole to myself, or am I just a human being that needs to constantly be reminded that pavement gets hot?
You can answer that question if you want, I'm a big boy, I can take a bit of good-natured ribbing.
But, for goodness sakes, yes, thank you for putting the PSA reminder out about the feet of our faithful, loving dog friends getting dangerously too hot!
KUDOs to you!!!
You make excellent points on the pool. Humans do tend to be forgetful and thoughtless.
And Thank you.
Yes, that's infuriating. I have to walk my dog early in the morning or after dark during this weather for that very reason, but at least my dog will refuse to walk if the street is too hot (not that I'd try to force her). I've tried putting shoes on her, but she hates them, so she just can't go on walks when the pavement is hot.
Smart dog you have there. What a beauty too. Thank you for caring about her needs.
Lucky girl.
@Wiredone Maybe, but I feel just as lucky. She's a fantastic dog. Very smart, completely housetrained (never once an accident), has never chewed or destroyed anything that wasn't her toy - really no common dog problems. There's only a few odd things: she will not let you pick her up (she yelps like you are breaking her legs), she won't lick your face (or really anywhere on you), and she HATES loud exhausts - motorcycles, hot rods, big trucks, etc. I assume that she was constantly harassed by motorcycles and trucks on the streets.
It's hard to get a good picture of her because she's either sleeping or she's in "play mode" and doesn't sit still for long, but I just managed to get a semi-decent shot of her.
Understandable quirks. Sweet baby.
I would say it’s not intentional. They might not know that dogs suffer on hot surfaces because nobody told them. If you are brave enough, you could tell them what nobody else has the courage to tell them. I don’t blame you if you don’t feel comfortable rebuking strangers cause there are stories of murders happening by strangers who felt insulted in public. But if you think they are non violent, the only way to rescue their dog is to talk to them about it.
Good points. I fear people like this don't want to hear it, they only learn when they see the large blisters on the paws later. Then they are frustrated.
when driving, people that pull out in front of you making you apply the brakes when there's no one behind you then go slow. or my other favorite is people not wanting to get in line and try speeding past everyone in the left lane and then try to force their way into the right lane for a merge.
They like to slow down when in front too. Bikes are great for leaving them in the dust.
Ignorant people do not deserve the right to own a dog!
My thoughts exactly.
Apps that ask you to enter a number but leave the keyboard up and not switch to a number pad. IT REALLY ENRAGES ME! How hard would it be to drop another line or two of code? 🤬
Cheap labor 🤓
Ik but WHY,?
Luckily we have grass on either side of the sidewalk, so that's cooler and dogs prefer it because there are more smells there. Still, I don't walk my dog if it's above 95, I just have her jump in our pool.
Lovely. I had a golden we couldn't keep out of the pool. Lots of smiling laps.
People who don't research how to care for their pets before getting them
Agreed. 100%
I hate it when someone tries to gaslight me. It's idiotic and immature.
This is a good one.
When I’m overstimulated and eating while being a mom and feeding my baby and other adults keep trying to talk to me without even helping
What do they do if you ask for help? I'm a fixer by nature and couldn't help but be curious.
They say the baby wants to be with me and they don’t know what to do….
Ugh.. I'm sorry. Hang in there. You sound like a good mother to me.
I'd still walk my dog just not on freaking concrete or asphalt. I'd pick a nice dirt trail
Yes. Exactly.
I trained professional working dogs for many years. I did the boot thing as even our insurance required it. Socks as back-up.
I can't understand why people would risk their paws.
Do they even notice after?
I think those that do that, don't care.
Yes.
new subdivisions where they just have asphalt roads and no sidewalks makes that worse
Yes. And a lot of yards are no longer grass they are desert scapes to save water. People don't realize wild dogs burrow underground in the heat. Even sandy dirt is hot.
lol. I agree with you…. If people had to pant to stay cool they wouldn’t be out in this weather….
Very true

@sirderpsalot123 why are you in love with poop?
It's unlimited ammo
Unlimited? Cut back on the mac and cheese my friend.
No wonder you never wear clothes. Poop sweats are real and you're unlimited.
Oop. Tea time.
@dustybiker2 you know what I meant lol
You know I knew that I know what you meant.
@sirderpsalot123 unlimited? Bruh, you need to see a doctor before you expire😂
The perverted men on here
I hear you. The block feature does come in handy.
The dog has to go. Where? Your front yard?
I don't mind if it goes on my front yard if it saves its poor paws getting badly burned. I doubt my neighbors would feel differently.
Did you hear a few years back in Australia (I believe) they had a really bad heatwave and all the birds started dying? So sad.
Child abuse is a trigger for me
It should be for everyone.
