Hey guys and gals... Ever been stuck driving behind somebody with that "How's my driving?" bumper sticker? If you had that sticker on your car, what do you think folks would say about your driving style?

I got my license and a car as soon as I turned 16 in 1970.
I was kind of a maniac for quite a few years but never had any collisions. All I had were lots of speeding tickets. Back then, tickets weren't reported to your insurance company. There were no computers or internet.
I had a souped up '72 El Camino for several years when I was in my 20s. It had small block 325 engine bored out to 350, RV cams, a modified trans and differential, a Hearst shifter, air shocks in back, and wide tires.
I was Speed Racer in that car.
After I got hired as a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser and started driving company cars, I mellowed out. I would lose my company car and job if I had more than three points on my record.
I still drove over the speed limit on highways when possible but never unsafely.
I still drive close to 10 miles over the posted speed on highways because cops don't usually pull people over if they are under, say, 63 mph in a 55 mph zone or 73 in a 65 mph zone.
And, if traffic is going along way over the speed limit on highways, I'll gladly keep up. On Hwy 5, for example, traffic often goes well over 90. I can control a vehicle no matter what the speed.
I'd say that makes me a better driver than those who stick to the speed limit, impede traffic and cause frustration behind them.
If someone wants to pass me, I'll gladly let them do so at the first opportunity.
I NEVER tailgate, cut people off, pass unsafely, or make a lot lane changes. I'm aware of my surroundings and don't use my phone when driving.
I am very safe, especially in town. I obey all the laws and don't even do rolling stops.
Realistically, they'd probably say that I'm a good driver that rides the edge of safety.
When I was still new to driving I moved to a state where everyone was an absolutely crazy driver. I was over there trying to survive. In that state, people would deliberately try to block you from changing lanes, cut you off, stop in middle of the highway (no joke), etc.
I always had to watch closely what other cars were doing to avoid accidents, and be willing/ready to make a quick adjustment. So when a car does something wrong I find a way to get away from that car ASAP, whether it's slowing down or speeding up.
Oh and I proudly bear a perfect driving record 😏
Thanks for the MHO :)
Anyone who knows me will say that I'm a very good driver. I drive a very nice 2 seater sports car with a manual transmission, and I've done a couple performance driving schools so I could learn how to appreciate my car's capabilities. That being said, I've never had a ticket or accident, I don't street race, don't tailgate, don't weave from lane to lane or drive excessively fast, I use my turn signals, and do my best to be courteous to other drivers.
They’d probably say I’m a good enough driver. I follow rules, I have my phone away, I don’t speed. I do have snacks when I’m driving though.

people behind me would only complain that I drive "slow" because I try to always stay within the posted speed limit.
They would be out of there comfort zone if they could read it as i tend to speed , last speeding ticket I got the state trooper had his gun drawn because i did not know he was behind me 94 in a 65 only because my work truck is governed at 95mph so i would no go any faster
It would be a long the lines of ‘you twat’
I tend to drive fast but I do drive to the conditions, just not usually the speed limit. In town I’m invariably under the speed limit as you have pedestrians, more cars n junctions, outside of that and when conditions allow I view limits as suggestions.
I'm a good driver. I drive defensively and have avoided a few accidents, one where I stopped short of an intersection and the person slid through a stop sign in the fog. I would have undoubtedly been t-boned.
Everyone tells me I'm a very good driver. I'd even drive the band home from gigs in Youngstown and Erie because I'm the only one that doesn't drink or do drugs and am usually loaded with energy to stay awake for the 3 hour drive! Maybe, some day, I'll actually get a license!
Touch wood, very good.
But a few years ago I was under an immense amount of stress and pressure. I had a few near misses then...
Yeah, there's a very interesting campaign now with celebrities saying "I don't drive when I'm tired" or "I don't drive when I'm stressed" etc. I think it's a great message to share with the younger generation.
As a parent and designated driver I've always had to drive under any conditions, including high stress and tight deadlines, but thankfully a speedy-but-safe driver.
My driving is usually great. My mother-in-law, who was in a bad accident as a child, has not truly felt comfortable enough to rest while in a car. She has fallen asleep multiple times while I am driving.
I travel by horse drawn chariot. So I get plenty of curious stares, but rarely any complaints.
@spartan55 ... Most Spartans don't actually use horses... Cavalry was always really sparse, so I don't know about the two-horses...
People that drive the speed limit or a little over would be fine with my driving but the people that want to think their speed racer and drive 10 to 15 miles over what the speed limit is probably think I'm a slowpoke
My only experiences are off-road and once of those rapidly resulted in a broken propshaft so pretty bad
They would complain I’m too slow because I drive the speed limit. If it’s 45 mph I am going 45. Don’t wanna break the law
My work vehicle has that sticker!
I remember the 90's bumper sticker "Don't like my driving? Dial 1-800-EAT-SHIT" 😁
80% I drive as fast as I can without points.
20% I drive as fast as I can, period. 😛
(Zero points on my license currently)
Horrible, I don't know how I even managed to got it.
I didn't even try to get mine. My cousin let me drive his car and I barely hit the gas pedal and it went 60 miles an hour, then he told me to reverse and I back into a rock pile, and he blamed ME, then made my mom mess up HER car as revenge.
And one time in college, I drove a little tractor into a ditch backing up. Going forward was fine, I could drive "Gator" which is like a tractor and I could drive this thing that was kind of like a golf cart fine, but I couldn't reverse.
My mom still laughs that I couldn't drive my nephew's buggy, but the steering wheel was so heavy and you had to push it so hard to turn. I don't know how my nephew drove it honestly.
Also, some of our traffic laws are so stupid.
@KostasKouvalis Guys is totally crazy, obviously you were going to damage his car if you don't know how to drive, people always expect others to be perfect at the first try
The car I used to take lesson on was very hard too I prefer it to easier one cause at least you feel safer
which one I'm curious XD
Traffic laws? Like you have to stand at a red light for several minutes even when there are no cars going. Our right of way laws. Like in some cases you can even be stuck at a green light. Our passing, parking and U-Turn laws. You can't park/stop certain places even for a few seconds. Pedestrians can block your car and you can't do anything. One way streets. You're not allowed to pass a stopped school bus. Getting stuck behind a school bus is so annoying.
Or getting stuck behind a semi truck in a no passing lane
Oh, and daytime headlights is another one
@KostasKouvalis We have similar one I don't mind them I'm ways too stressed to think about ever trespassing them XD
I don't know, I just get irritated when something seems illogical and I don't understand the purpose of something😂
"Tresspassing" here means going onto private property without permission.
But I I'm general have a lot of nerves. Also our test here is like 62 questions, and I have a hard time studying and retaining information. And I'm also lazy XD
I'm also kind of scares. I also don't like changing my routine and driving seems so stressful. You need eyes in the back of your head XD
I couldn't be trusted, I have insomnia so I don't really try too drive
Yes unfortunately
I'm an excellent driver 😌
You know why, it's because i'm 100% alert and wouldn't make a single accident, plus i drive safely to ensure that everyone with me arrives safe and sound 😊
This would be it!
I'd be gone before they could read it.
They'd say nothing :)
Nothing of relevance, that is.
I would probably get a couple calls a month.
I usually get compliments for my driving with people that ride in my car.
Impeccable. I've now been driving for 34 years, since I was 22, and I've never had an accident. I always pay attention to what's going on around me, and I'm never distracted by other things like the radio or a silly phone.
How ironic that you chose Speed Racer for your picture. Gee, I wonder who told you his favorite cartoon is Speed Racer?
I drive fast…. Very fast
Don’t crash now… we need you alive miss
I drive like a grandfather
been driving 56 years
