Yes I do!
We live on 30 acres of oak grassland in the Sierra Nevada foothills of northern California on a hill that slopes to the west.
Everything in our area is rural. We can see houses in the distance, but no big buildings.
Our large living room windows face north. Right outside, we have ferns and some large, shade-loving plants.
Beyond those is our garden with flowers, bushes and a few ornamental trees.
Beyond that is the wild part of our property with wild grass, some buck brush, a lot of large oak trees, and some gray pines.
Beyond that is a valley and an adjacent hill.
The view is particularly lovely in the spring when everything is green and looks like Ireland.
We are below the snow line, so we never get snow here.
On the west northwest side of our house is our orchard with 18 fruit trees, including seven citrus (lemons, oranges, grapefruit and Mandarin). All of our trees are on dwarf stock but are still pretty big. All the citrus except Mandarin are full of fruit all year round.
The orchard is on a slope, just below our house, so we can see above the tops of the trees.
We have an sweeping view of the north, west and south.
A couple miles away to the north and west are adjacent hills.
To the southwest we can see over 100 miles across the central valley to the coastal range. And to the south southwest, we can see the coastal range disappear hundreds of miles away on a clear day.
My wife and I love our home. But we don't enjoy the hot, dry summers. Spring and fall are idyllic.
Must be west side if Sierras? I used to live in Lone Pine, Eastern Sierras. We did get the occasional snow.
@KrakenAttackin. Yeah. Grass fires, not forest fires. Especially in the summer. There have been some big ones in surrounding areas, but none real near our house.
We keep things clear around our house, especially on the downslope side. Plus the house is made of Hardyboard and not too susceptible to catching fire.
And we have fantastic fire response in our area. There have been a few times when I saw smoke a few miles away and within minutes there are spotter planes, helicopters dropping water, swarms of fire crews and airplanes ready to drop fire retardent.
@Caroline91. Yes, it's on the west side, close to the central valley. My house is only 600' elevation but seems like a helicopter view.
Yes. I live in an apartment at 4 th floor and near there isn’t any tall building so I have open air around.
On one balcony I can see city roofs and the city Dome, on the other side I can see Alps and green.
Snow? This time of the year? I don’t miss snow much but it’s a beautiful view. My condo faces Lake Ontario.
Yes. We have lots of trees in our 3 acres. I love coming home. I enjoy my home and my yard.

I prefer the heat over the cold , cuz I enjoy being outdoors and soaking in the sun , I hate cold weather but I do like looking at the snow , but I hate driving in it lol
I agree on cooling off. This is the hottest July's on record. It's not even aug/sept yet. Terrified. One of my views has been in the XFiles tv show.
