Americans are from everywhere. You name it. America is a land of immigrants.

The original Americans were the indigenous people, of course. But when Europeans "discovered" the western hemisphere, Spanish, French and English claimed territory in North America. Those people didn't leave when the territories became part of the U. S.

The British colonists in New England gained independence from the Crown with help from Spain, the Netherlands and France.

Some German Hessions who fought for Britain decided to stay in the U. S. after the revolutionary war.

Waves of immigrants followed. There were many Scotch Irish at first, as well as people from northwestern Europe.

Chinese began arriving as early as 1815.

There was a later influx of Irish in the mid-1800s.

Large numbers of Italians and Eastern Europeans began arriving in the early 1900s.

African slaves were emancipated after the Civil War.

Over the years, immigrants from all parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Pacifica, have become citizens.

People of all races and ethnicities have contributed greatly to American culture and prosperity. America has been called "the great melting pot", while others think a "salad bowl" is more accurate. Nevertheless, people eventually assimilate and there has been a lot of intermixing, especially since the late 20th century.

The idea that Trump is anti-immigrant or has a problem with other races and ethnicities is Democrat fiction designed to gain votes and keep him from winning reelection.

@Bklynbadboy12 Trump has no issue with LEGAL immigrants, regardless of their ethnicity. And the US has legal immigrants from all over the world, and has for hundreds of years.

What Trump (and lots and lots of us) have a problem with are ILLEGAL immigrants - people who want to skip the process (and NO ONE is more offended by this than LEGAL immigrants who did all the work to enter legally!) and in some cases are already established criminals (and not just Latin Americans - there are criminals from all over the globe sneaking in over the southern border).

The left LOVES to conflate LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigrants, but they are not the same and should not be treated the same.
