What races live in America?

There is something I'm curious about. As far as I know, Americans, Asians and blacks live in America, but are there any people living from European countries, for example, races such as Germans, Dutch, Swedish, Danes, French and Russians?

The largest ethnicity presence in the US is actually German. Next comes Irish, and then English (of course, given our current culture, you often see more than one of those in the same person; you're not realistically going to stop inter-ethnic or inter-cultural tension by breeding them all together, but we're sure as Hell gonna try!). This is why so many of our cultural aspects come from historical German culture, AND why ethnicity is such a frequent topic of conversation here when meeting someone new; it's not about genetics, it's about cultural background. This tends to confuse Europeans, who (understandably) sometimes think we're all horribly racist, but while there IS a distinctly American culture, it didn't start from zero; immigrants and settlers brought it with them.

The US is also really, REALLY big. Third largest in area AND third largest in population, and yet quite low (relatively speaking, of course) in population density. You can find just about any ethnic group you can name here, but to what degree they're intermixing, and how genetically pure they are, is anyone's guess.

European Americans are the majority in the US. Of those listed, those descended from German peoples are the largest group. For French, that's more in French Canada. I, myself, am descended from Danes.

You do know that there are people of Asian descent and Black people who are from the US, right? Of course, there Asian and Black immigrants as well, but being American doesn't mean being White.

Yes, there are Europeans living in the United States. All White Americans are of European descent.

Everyone is from everywhere. It's why they use the phrase "Great American Melting Pot" ... There was even a popular song:

Every race lives in America. It's called a mixing pot for a reason. Most people who live in America were born and raised there, but those people still come from a variety of racial heritages, and America has a ton of immigrants as well. I wouldn't doubt that every country is represented by at least one person currently living in America. So yeah, every race lives here.

Those aren't races. Those are countries not races. You can be from any country and be any race obviously.

One. The human race. Of course some of us, like the Irish, have some Neanderthal mixed in.

Actually, the single biggest presence of Neanderthal DNA is in the Bushmen of the Kalahari (in modern day Botswana), whose ancestors left Africa and then came back, going REALLY far south. Of course, many other ethnicities also have some level of Neanderthal mixing, too.
