It's really started to irk my soul when people ask me to provide a source or some kind of evidence to support some plainly obvious statement. It started to bother me because the person will usually ignore the source anyway and try to act like the evidence was insufficient.

Really, it's any kind of bad faith, being intentionally obtuse or generally purposefully difficult.

I am not a google machine. I'm not a personal research assistant. It's not incumbent upon me to bring other people up a learning curve, especially when there's not really any any excuse for them not knowing things in the first.

I have the same pain with the "Where's your source" bros. When I have done the work they just discredit the source and don't even read it. Especially when they're coming to my opinion with no proof of their own as if the burden of proof is on me. And 95% of the time they're trying to make personal attacks simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the author is some black chick with a PhD writing about the adverse impact psychedelic mushrooms have had on feminism. 😂🤷‍♂️

The personal attacks that come along with it get old really frickin fast. I'm at the point where I just assume it's projection and laugh it off.

Not the normal use of it, I have no problem with that, it's when they start every sentence with it whether it needed it or not! and I never heard this until about 15 years ago when Cobert (this was shortly before he got a severe case of TDS) had some middle eastern girl on his show who'd been shot in the head and lived to tell about it. Nearly every answer she gave him started with, "So"! Ever since then, I seem to be just about the ONLY person that DOESN'T start every sentence with,. "So".

-the word "delulu". It sounds so much like valley girl talk that the pretty popular mean girl in high school would say. It's unbearable.

-I also hate whenever people say "facts", under someone's post on social media. They basically can't tell the difference between an opinion and a (scientific) fact. Just because an opinion is popular and held by a lot of people, it still doesn't mean it's a fact.

Just because it is overdone like ‘Fascist’, ‘Nazi’, ‘Commie’, etc. and it used to mean something of substance…. Now just a trigger word.
