How much top speed you can drive?

I broke 200 kph (125 mph) on the Autobahn. I was driving a rental car. It was some kind of VW, I can't remember the model. My parents were in the car, though, and started kind of freaking out, so I didn't try to go faster. I backed off and kept it at 170 kph (100 mph). But I had to stay mostly in the slow lane because people were blowing past me like I was standing still.

I've gone over 100 mph on a few U. S. highways and long, straight, country roads.

I'm a really good driver and am comfortable behind the wheel, so driving fast is easy. My only limitation is the law... and the safety of the car I'm driving.

I always drove within the absolute max of the speed limit (Advertised limit + 4km since the car speedometer is always a bit behind + 3 km for the correction the cops have to do) and at the top end of the speed limits here (130km) I didn't feel much need to go faster. I haven't driven in Germany yet so I never had the chance to really blaze it.

So I don't know what my real top speed is that I am comfortable with.

I annoyingly drive the speed limit on public roads. (Even though I have a $600 radar detector, which is just for speed traps!) But my dad rented us some Ferrari's, to race at the speedway road course in Las Vegas. I know I did over 165 Mph in the longest straight-away, but I cannot remember my average lap-time. But again that was on a sanctioned race track, in a fairly new Ferrari. I would NEVER drive anywhere even close to that on a public roadway. But my god it was a LOT of fun!

I live near very rural areas, and frequently travel through rural areas, and at times it can be hard to drive the speed limit. Especially when you're not using cruise control. I've found myself going 95mph on a county road in the past without even noticing how fast I was going.

On normal UK roads, it’s crazy to go over a 100mph, however on both the Track and German Autobahns you have a bit more freedom. On an Autobahn it’s circa 165mph driving to Frankfurt. On the track I’ve slipped over the 200mph mark on a long straight,

I once got stuck in the fast line of the M25 motorway, the major ring road around London England in a Mini Metro. My foot was on the floorboard doing 105 mph (169 kph), in bumper-to-bumper traffic, until I was finally able to pull into a slower lane. Scared the heck out of me.

In my current car, the fastest I've gone is 95 mph (153 kph), though it could have gone faster.

I got it up to 80 or so without even realizing it. I was driving the band home from a gig in Erie at about 4 or 5 a. m. and, while listening to music in the car, I started using the gas pedal as one of my bass drum pedals and, after a few minutes, I looked at the speedometer and saw that I was doing 80! No more music while driving for me!!

I took my old 66 Chevelle down a hill at over 140 mph (over 225 kph) running from the highway patrol back in the 90's. It's not all smooth riding and aerodynamic like driving a new fancy sports car. It was terrifying and suicidal. That car had no business going faster than 100 mph.

I have driven every car I had at top speed, thanks to the Autobahn. Fastest was with a BMW 5-series at 250 km/h. But it's honestly stressful, you have to be 1000% focused.

I had a Chevy Nova that had a speedometer that went up to 120MPH. I buried the needle more than once. I do not really drive that fast anymore. Maybe I do 80 MPH on he highway.

According to my truck GPS I've gone 150 in a box truck before. Which is incredibly good since the vehicle caps at 100. Fastest I've actually driven is 100mph.

65 mph. I went Asa fast as 100 mph on a deserted highway. On the highway in Colorado, the highway speeds go from 55 in the cities, 66 in the suburbs, to 75 in the rural areas.
