My friend at work said TV's under 40" aren't good. That true?

No, a TV's under 40 inches are perfectly fine. I remember being a kid and being perfectly happy with a 13" TV.

I wouldn't worry about what your friend at work said, some people, once they get a large TV, they view anything smaller as being junk. Kids these days will never understand what it's like to be stuck with a TV under 32" inches, as the was pretty much the max size before unless you were rich and could afford a rear projection TV.

I know man I've seen the 70 and 80 inch TV's they look too big though

Yea they are too big in my opinion too, They maybe OK if you have the money and a large enough room you can sit at a comfortable distance.

I guess they are good but I feel that 4K is the best when you’re watching a 4K TV. It’s like you’re looking at somebody in person and you can actually see the wrinkles on their face even Sylvester Stallone likes those kind of TVs the actor. They’re not that expensive anymore like they used to be many years ago
