Only my wife if she needs it, because insurance follows the car, not the driver. Their insurance would not cover damage to my car. If someone damages my car, my insurance has to pay for it and my rates increase. If they get injured, my insurance has to pay for that, too.

My wife and I both have the same insurance company and we're both insured to drive each other's cars. She's a good driver and I have no problem being responsible for any incident that she might get involved in. But I don't want to be liable for anyone else.

It happens. My assistant was driving my other car for something like a week when her car was in the shop and she smoked my weed and left an iou paper in the jar.

I've had people drive my car while we were on set and maybe someone needed batteries or something miscellaneous. Or on the way to or from so I could be on the phone.

It's weird being in the passenger seat because you always feel like they're about to crash 😂

Just like I'm always welcome to drive his truck, my husband is welcome to drive my cars anytime he wants.

So are my dad, mom & brothers.

Some select few friends are also welcome to borrow my cars.

When I'd rather be driven so I can accomplish some other work tasks, I have a few employees who look like puppy dogs eagerly waiting for the keys to be handed to them.

If itโ€™s your awesome Porsche Panamera theyโ€™re excited about, itโ€™s understandable since itโ€™s beautiful and exciting. I can imagine all those upgrades significantly improved an already great car.

I can't parallel park too well, so if I'm with a friend and there's a reason we need that space, I'll hop out and let them do it. On a pretty rare basis if I've had a few drinks, I'll pass my keys to a sober friend to drive me home. Otherwise, I share the car with my husband, and that's about it.

Not generally, but i have loaned my car out a few times. There was also a time after a DUI that i rode to work with a friend who worked at the same place. He drove my car. Saving money on fuel and miles on his vehicle was incentive enough to do me that very solid favor.

Hummm... My current car, no one besides me ever has. Except employees at the dealership where I go for periodic maintenance. If someone asked to drive it, first of all I'd wonder why. If it was someone I knew well I might let them drive it, if it was for good reason.

The only people other than myself that have driven my car are my boyfriend, my dad and my brother. I worked hard to get this car and I'm very protective of it.

People in general no. But Iโ€™ve let my roommate drive my car, and my sister. But currently itโ€™s acting up and I wonโ€™t let any of my friends drive it because I refuse to risk their lives

I have put more into this lemon of a car than I paid for it. It goes in tomorrow for the turbo problem. Then I get to save money up again for the stupid radiator and then the sway bar links and shocks

If you have a friend thatโ€™s a mechanic you can order breaks cheaper from rock auto. The sway bar and shocks as well as the radiator both need to be done in the shop so unfortunately my friend canโ€™t do it for me. The turbo issue provided itโ€™s what I think it is would be an easy enough fix but my friend canโ€™t fix it right away and the part will take a couple weeks to get in which I donโ€™t trust my car to last lol so again itโ€™s going to be a rather expensive fix

Unfortunately itโ€™s rebuild status so itโ€™s not worth much. I did get an offer from the dealership for like $2k but considering I paid almost $6k and have put at least that into it Iโ€™m going to finish fixing it up, and then when I can find a better job and afford a car payment Iโ€™ll try to sell it privately. I have all the paperwork in a neat folder so if I sell to someone else Iโ€™ll give that to them too.

Not currently but yes, when I had my other car I would let people I know or sort of know or strangers drive it if they needed help. I would let people I didn't like if they were in trouble but this year I'm older and colder so no.

Not really. If something were to happen to it, I would likely be a little pissed even if it wasn't their fault. Not from a blame perspective but from the perspective of how long it could take in the shop, do I need to rent a vehicle, etc.

Yes, I often loan my car to others. Most commonly, when family members from out of town visit, they often use my car. Of course, my wife occasionally drives it, though she doesn't like it. She rarely lets me drive her car. 🙄
