Why is it many times I stand up to work place bullying it makes the bully worst?

People tell me that standing up they will stop but they don’t usually

That works for kids but adult bullies have their self worth and livelihood riding on their dominance. No one wants to give that up easily.

What can I do to make them stop?

Consequences. I'm afraid without them you won't get them to stop. Instead you will be locked into an eternal battle with them until someone gets tired enough of it that some authority steps in an delivers those consequences. Just make sure you are playing by the rules so you don't have to face any consequences, yourself.

Alternatively, if you can give everyone the confidence to also stand up to the bully the bully will usually quiet down. They are ultimately value-predators looking for those who are weakest in value and so isolated from the pack. Make sure no one fits that description and the bully will see true frustration. But it is harder than you think because it means really throwing yourself into standing up for the person everyone thinks the least of. Because if there is any possibility that the pack isn't going to come to their defense or will be quickly exhausted with the effort, the bully will come to make a meal of them.

That’s tough cuz everyone is scared of her and that’s very true they only stop if more than one person intervenes

To start you could throw some after work party but make sure she doesn't know about it. Maybe only closest friends for the first round and expand every week or so. Forming such bonds is the best way to build confidence in each other.

Corporate culture will crush any individual person. If it is the corporate culture to bully, Deal with it or move on.

Because standing up isn't enough. You have to also make f***ing with you so painful that it's too costly to them to ever do it again.
