Somewhere between very clean and tidying if company comes over. They're coming Wednesday for weekend so guess what I'm doing today and tomorrow?

Did any of you ever challenge your parents about cleaning when you were younger? My brother did and said that it was dishonest because it doesn't reflect reality and is phony. I didn't realize Mom had the skills of a prizefighter when my brother got wrecked with a lightning slap but It is seared into my memory that sound and then him hitting the floor...

My older cousins even recall getting physically assaulted by neighbors and then again when they got home by my aunt and uncle. Could you imagine a neighbor doing that to a kid today? The 70s & 80s we're different kids!! We are not the same.

It needs a bit of a clean like dishes need to be done and the floor would need to be vacuumed and mopped but otherwise it’s decently clean
