He said that it should be perfect and that my other friends from bosnia/Europe probably don't have an accent, also he said that someone immigrating from a different place should from how long they are in USA must have a perfect accent like the culture he thinks it might be because of my deep voice I don't know I thought I speak it good

When I took Spanish in college, my professor said that if you learn a second language after puberty, you will always have an accent. No matter how perfectly understandable you are, native speakers will always know you're from somewhere else. This may also explain the comment about your vocabulary, but if it was the same person making both comments, I begin to suspect he just doesn't like immigrants. The current politics of our country has the descendents of immigrants making ignorant comments about who's a "Real American"

Then he doesn't understand language very well. You don't hear your own accent because it sounds normal to you. People with a different accent hear it right away. Southerners recognize a "Yankee" as soon as he opens his mouth.

Nah because certain letters are only precise if learned young. Otherwise certain vowels n letters will differ.
