How can people geniuenly want kids?

The idea of being a parent, having something to look after, appeals to certain people. It’s also a welcomed reason to act like a child again and play, because you’re playing with your kid. My mom loved being a mom at every stage. She loved me as a baby, she adored me as a toddler, she was so happy being there for me as an adolescent, and she loved teaching me as a teenager. She’s always wanted kids, to have that purpose, and I’m glad I got brought into existence as a result of that desire.


I, however, will not be having children. She respects that and understands it because she was willing to sacrifice a lot of personal goals to take care of me. I’m not willing to do the same for a stranger, who cares if I made them inside my body or not? She’s a good mom.

I genuinely want kids someday. I don't see that as a non-mainstream thing.

It’s usually instinct because if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t be around , but now it’s so overpopulated and so expensive to have children a lot less people are having children now

From a selfish, biological perspective, to pass on their genes to the next generation. From a less selfish, but still biological perspective, to perpetuate our species.
