there is this man in my hometown , i likely would never of even noticed him if not for the fact he owned a restaurant which was in a high profile location and popular.

but i've noticed things about this restaurant , never has there ever been 1 male server , all the female servers are white girls, young and attractive. a lot seem to have nice boobs.

and when people drop off resumes they claim to be not looking or staff despite being short of staff and he doesn't even use actual job search sites , there is like no way to even apply to work there through standard legal means

he's also oddly not there much at all , has this weird "presence " though and keeps in touch with the girls through there cell phones and obsessed with them txting him daily/shift sales #'s , like he wants to know how much money they made badly.

the reviews are also terrible for this restaurant , i looked on google about 50/50 , some good but a lot of 1 star reviews from really upset customers who though the customer service was terrible and that servers didn't even want to be there and seemed uninterested in providing quality service but still expected huge tips. and owner has yet to reply to any of them either , dozens of upset people but not 1 reply saying there sorry or will do better next time

so he's got a bunch of hot girls working for him who apparently aren't even that good at there serving jobs yet he keeps them on over less pretty or male options that might actually provide better customer service.

next question was about last Friday night , was very slow despite being Friday of long weekend. i asked if she knew why or if there had been anything else going on around town?

she once again claimed to know of nothing and not know what people did instead. so i'm to believe they don't have any clue what there customers are doing instead when they don't come out?

some new information came to light last night , dead as usual didn't go in and haven't been in for around a month.

We went with good expectations and it turned out to be a failure. The food is good but it's nothing special, it doesn't make you feel "wow", it's generic and expensive for the options they have. I think they overcharge for services because of the location of the place. The staff is not friendly, is "distracted" and seems to feel overworked.

I visited this place today (Sep 15) for an early dinner. Apart from one waitress, the staff seemed to dislike their jobs, especially one server who clearly didn’t want to be there. While bringing water to our table, she knocked a cup over onto my husband. I understand accidents happen, and I would NEVER leave a review solely because of this. My review is meant to bring it to the attention of the owners and/or managers, as this place is charming, with a nice view and good food. The view is great, but my partner had ordered a burger with cheese and bacon. He didn't get that. He got a burger with only lettuce and tomato. His fries were looking and tasted burnt. I received boneless chicken, but they're looked to be rice. Why would there be rice when it was a dish with no rice? it can't be financially sustainable , sure its more of a summertime place to go but still open all year , he still has to pay whatever staff is there rate now minimun wage and an endless amounts of bills ( hydro , water , suppliers , cable tv , taxes )

and even if he has the money in the bank to keep it going this winter you have to wonder why? if business obviously failing and no one even coming in most nights? it seems like a lost cause and doomed in the end , i'm lost as to why anyone would throw so much money into this he's basically paying to keep the lights on and for some staff to stand around and do nothing some nights

another strange google review for this place , this women doesn't even comment about the food or the price. her issue is purely with the customer service and the girls themselves. saying she saw them standing by bar talking to each other and wouldn't even come to her table.

the issue with this place is clearly the staff itself and either poor training or a culture of entitlement has developed where is girls feel there entitled to huge tips for doing very little and don't really know much of anything about customer service

like what would even motivate someone to send in such a review to google? typically people have issues with food or price but not the staff themselves saying they weren't even doing job and just talking at the bar. is such an off observation for someone to make not that i don't disagree with her , have seen them do this many times and its happened to me many times too when they do this

update from Friday , according to google live and my observations when i was downtown ( didn't go inside but was nearby ) it once again did not appear busy , when i got home around 9 30 pm checked google and it showed a tiny bar like 1 /20th of an inch and checked again around 10 30 and still same

they also attempted to do a promotion as its a weekend here focused on women , a local hotel does a promotion to encourage women to come here and spend a girls weekend here and to visit local shops and restaurants. but saw little evidence of any women downtown or near restaurant

the manager also posted some pictures of drink specials to instagram , the first actual post made since August , got 40 likes but like a dozen were staff members , wonder if they were encouraged to do so or if there only people who pay any attention to this place anymore?

whats odd when i checked google on Thursday it showed a slightly bigger bar at same time like 1 /10 of an inch so more people there Thursday than Friday , seems there Friday nights have collapsed and no one at all coming in anymore , no evidence of any bar nights or customer base during that time slot for at least the last 4 fridays if not a bit longer

another dead Friday but some new information to share , when i was leaving town noticed something.

there is this former cafe that was renovated into a small live music venue , i had heard about it but wasn't aware it was a " thing " to go there on fridays.

when i drove by it was like packed , i checked online and its been doing kareoke every Friday since early this year at least since the spring. so perhaps that is why this bar hasn't been as busy on fridays , people have been going to this other spot for kareoke instead

but still doesn't explain why the owner doesn't wake up and make some changes , it everyone is somewhere else and rather go to kareoke up the street perhaps a sign his place needs something to bring people in again
