Why does this watch cost 45k and this one 50k, what is wrong with people?

It's because they started making watches in Switzerland 500 years ago back then there were no digital watches and it took insane craftsmanship and skill to produce mechanical watches that were not too bulky and also stayed accurate for a long time. They became the best in the world at making these watches and had a global reputation and in the modern time they became luxury goods. It's like buying a japanese katana from a master swordmaker or something like that except you can actually wear it and show it off.

Somehow they even started becoming an investment for rich people there were times where you could buy a watch and it would be worth more than what you paid for it as soon as you left the store you could sell it online for more than you bought it for. But we are not the target demo so don't worry about it.

They do also sell cheap watches they're called swatch.

I have absolutely no clue. I have a few buddies into watches, the only answer I can get as to why they’re “worth” what they are is there’s someone out there even dumber than I am
