Trending & News What kind of reptilian would you consider as a pet?

As a kid, I had many self-caught tortoises and snakes as temporary "pets", freeing them back to the wild after marveling at their biology and mannerisms for a relatively short time.
Snakes, especially king snakes, blue racers, and rat snakes were my favorites.
I wouldn't want to permanently cause such wonderful creatures to be submitted to permanent captivity.
I had a turtle when I was younger. I used to play with him outside. He got away once and my older sister ran over him with her car.
Now, I have a dog, and wouldn't want to have any reptilian pet. If forced to pick one, though, it would be a non-venomous snake.
Poor turtle :(
Thanks for MHO

I actually had a bearded dragon when I was younger. I loved him.
That cute turtle. Hands down.

An interesting idea; I haven't given it much thought. Since I don't have much experience with them, I imagine I'd go gecko; I'm told they're pretty easy. And hey, having a pet that can walk upside-down on a nonstick pan is pretty special; not even superglue can do that!
The only current reptile i have are geckos and a scorpion. Currently in a build for a Bearded Dragon but if that doesn't work out with humidity levels and such i will just swap it out for a snake or something more suitable
I have had snakes and lizards before.
I like iguanas and turtles, probably A, B or C.
Maybe D, or E.
Tortoise for me.
Chameleons seem fun.
A crocodile.
