Favorite is guitar because I play guitar. Ads far as listening, any instrument in the hands of a virtuoso is great. Like Oscar Peterson or Thelonious Monk on piano. I really enjoy the production qualities the band Steely Dan ( name comes from a Henry Miller novel and Steely Dan was the name of a series of vibrators. There were "0ne", "Steely Dan Three from Yokohama"They had a session guitarist named Skunk (Jeff) Baxter who is unbelievable in phrasing. If you ever want to check it out it''s in the song "My Old School". I don't think the world will ever see anyone who could shine Jimi Hendrix

Electric guitar. It is incredibly versatile, capable of being beautifully melodic and being very emotional and dynamic. It can produce different voices that cry, scream, rage, rip, shred, explode, and make various subtle sounds.

Yeah, it doesn't require any learning or practice at all to play like that. It all just comes naturally. LOL

As you know, I have been taking Violin and Piano, so I am prejudice. The violin is difficult, and I have put it down now for several months due to having 'shoulder problems" which I understand is common with violin players.

I think the piano is my favorite, as I love the sound of the keyboard, and what it takes to make those sounds. Sometime, listen to someone play the piano accompaniment for Ave Maria, and the Brooklyn Duo, play it beautifully. The wife plays the piano and the husband plays the Cello

I have tried to master the piano portion, after learning to play the Violin portion of the piece.

The piano is a series of single notes on the left hand and the right hand is a series of Arpeggios'... Just listening to them play, and breaking out the two instruments in you mind and ear, will make you teary, and touch your heart!

So yes, the piano!

My favorite is the French Horn, which two of my three kids played in high school and college (the third played the trombone). That's why I love John Williams' music (Superman, ET, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Olympic theme, and many more). He is one of the few conductors who have the French Horns play melody, while others relegate the French Horn to the background.
