It has been uncharacteristically cold for this time of the year now where I am. Sure, it is normally cold but not with these winds that kept me awake at 25 to 40 MPH. Horrible. My bird fountain is frozen and has been for 4 or 5 days. I am now getting ready to go out for cat food of all things, and I have to brace myself to go out there. It's 20 degrees outside now.

God news though, on Sunday it will warm up to to 49!

Her in Southeast, it's colder than normal, we've had a few nights below freezing and frost, but it's been in 50s F (12-13 C) during the day. That's going to change for the next few days, with daily temps ranging from 20sF (-4 C) to 40s (+7 C).

Wow, that sounds terrible. When we have Arctic blasts, most times they are coming from Canada.
My youngest daughter went to school in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The first time spring break came, , she was at a an airport for 3 or 4 days because of a blizzard they had. She only lasted there a year, couldn't take the climate. But I loved it, though it was beautiful but not the cold. So clean, Nova Scotia.

I have a bird feeder too, it had ice in it! I had to bring it in to l melt it (its a hanging round open feeder I put on the pole). It was 51 yesterday, so it was nice and things thawed out. But we're fluctuating now; Wed will go down again into the 30's and Sat will be 50 again!
