I posted here the other day.
I was playing a game on an app on my phone. You could get a paid version for better things in the game.
Unfortunately I'm not liking the game & my sister thought I did and she was going to give me the paid version for a year. It was a nice thought but I'm thinking of deleting the app from my phone.
We have a strained relationship so sometimes we give messages to our other sister to communicate.
I told my sister who does talk to me to say to her:
"thank you for the thought, I'm trying not to be mean or hurt your feelings but I might not like some of the paid things and I don't want to waste your $."
I sent this to my sister at 9pm Monday night and haven't heard from her all day.
I just don't want my sister to waste her $ on something I don't really use.
Was that an ok message?

I think so, even if she was just trying to be nice, you're also just trying to make sure she doesn't waste your money

Thank you, I told my sister to tell my other one and she was ok with it. My sister who does talk to me thought she would be mad I didn't like it. Quite surprised to be honest.
Sounds alright to me. You aren't ungrateful, just trying to keep her from wasting her money on something you don't like.
