The money that was promised is coming in soon enough and no more struggling for me. I won't be living paycheck to paycheck anymore. I feel so lucky.

I'm also not depressed or sad anymore. I feel really happy. And the money is just a bonus!

I am. The bill to eliminate the Government Pension Offset was signed into law this week. At least Biden did one good thing for American citizens in the whole 4 years he was in office.
The GPO reduces Social Security benefits for people that collect a pension from a government agency. There are people who paid into Social Security most of their lives and because they worked for a government agancy for a few years they can lose up to 40% of their Social Security benefits.

It's only been 9 days I haven't really been lucky or unlucky yet I feel good but it's too early to make any conclusions :) Today I put laundry in the machine and then I was doing other stuff and I totally forgot about the laundry and then I woke up at 3 am and remembered and went to get my laundry XD

Mentally it's been a wild ride, can't say it's been lucky.
Put in perspective, however, I am still in the top 10% most fortunate people, based on the shit shows going on in this world.
So overall, yes... 2025 has been lucky so far :)

It's just so far beyond what anyone living there could ever have imagined. I went through a couple of fires in the San Diego area when I was living there. Fire is just terrifying. My heart goes out to you.
