While leaving the ship to go home yesterday morning, a family of multiple people had large amounts of luggage in the elevator and told me one of their group members had to leave the cruise ship in an ambulance and the remaining group members were now responsible for carrying their sick family member's belongings off the cruise ship, and this is why they had enough luggage for more people their their group members. I was tempted to thank God that I was not the one who left the ship in an ambulance, but I thought, that might be considered bad, cause it could seem like I am celebrating the bad event that happened to the family if I thank God that it did not happen to me.
I learned through google today that another family was on a cruise ship the same time I was, and their ship got diverted to New York 30 hours ahead of schedule to escape a bomb cyclone that had hit the seas in the location they were supposed to sail to, and even in their safe location, the wind was 95 knots, while our wind on the cruise ship was always normal. Sometimes, less then 10 knots. I am lucky I was not in the bomb cyclone or anywhere close to the bomb cyclone like these unfortunate people in New York.
