No overdraft fee?

I overdrafted my account by $1.00 yesterday and noticed this morning. The last time I did this I overdrew the account by like $30 and they charged me a $25 fee and I got them to take it off because it was like the only time in 20 years I did that. How come they didn't charge a fee this time? I called and the lady on the phone was like, no if they were going to charge a fee they would have yesterday. The only thing I can think of is the amount wasn't large enough. That's one of the things that peeves me about this bank is I always here about how all these banks have overdraft protection, nope not mine we nail you as soon as we can.

A lot of banks have a grace amount, wherein they won't charge you an overdraft fee if you overdraw less than a certain amount.

It varies by bank. Some are $5, others are $15, etc. Most banks will give you a pass for $1.

That was my assumption. My guess is they weren't worried about it.

Everything is online now sometimes I pay for things, then forget and a few days later it hits the account. I don't think people balance a checkbook anymore, or at least I don't lol. I normally don't pay for that many things at once, so it isn't really necessary.

It's grace on my main account is £50, only used £30 but that was fraud

The other 2 have no limit but also won't go under zero

Yeah, how come they charged me a year ago, but didn't charge a fee this time? The bank lady didn't even know.

No, but I have a gut feeling that come Monday they'll tack a fee on. Probaby just slow to add it on.
