Well tbh miss sage, i'm not into this stoic philosophy so much, actually some of the things that were said are true but some others i don't agree with them, you see i'm more into reality, the majority of people around the world find comfort with me because i don't follow any particular philosophy, i learn from many philosophies and i'm a man who can create my own philosophy which is a philosophy of reality and it's very simple, create a philosophy that suits you and learn from other ones because not everyone is the same, people are different and what might works on me might not work on others and since the philosophy is made from people's experiences in life, they doesn't have to be 100%/ accurate and what might had worked on someone might not work on the other, it's always better to know ourselves before than pick which philosophy suits us the best!

For example: this man who worked in finaces and got fired, he had always a passion to open a business for him, so because he was fired and he opened a business to himself and made a success, he went on by the philosophy which says that everything happens for a reason and he wished if he had opened his business from a long time ago but that's not always the case, there a lot of people who had this dream and had enough courage to open a business but in the end they failed and wished to have a stable job to stay safe, so for these people it worked the opposite way and some others had experienced the same but failed when they opened their own businesses and others who couldn't even open a small business for them because of a lack in their finances... etc

It means there ain't single rule that works for everyone, people are just different so ther experiences are different, their mentality, their character, their physical power, their faith... etc all play a role in their future lives!

That is very insightful information and I am sure you gained that knowledge by helping people for the past 15 years.

Knowledge is power and you've gained a lot of knowledge from real life experiences.

Hey, can I touch you? Just a joke that people ask people who are very important!πŸ™‚ Hehe...

@sage2021 🀣🀣 Haha, you made me laugh miss sage by asking "can i touch you" because yesterday i was watching adam sandler's spaceman movie, he asked the spider alien creature if he can touch him but "hanosh" the name of the spider had refused because only the important close people to him were allowed to touch him 😁

Some of the poignant lessons that resonated with me are:

Life is about learning, adjusting, and finding peace in what you have.

Life is a series of chapters. They enrich our lives. We can learn from them and treasure their memories.

True love begins with loving yourself. Love is not about finding someone to complete you. Love is a journey of self discovery.

Challenge the status quo. Dare to ask questions.

The ability to wait, endure and persevere is powerful. Realistic achievements require time and effort. Don't pursue instant gratification.

I also believe in finding fun and enjoyment in everything you do. Instead of dwelling on the negatives, focus on the positives.

ugh... in what society did this guy grow up?

it's wrong from the beginning... happiness never was an "ultimate goal" for life in the cultures I grew up...

being unhappy doesn't mean that one's life is bad... it could also mean that there is something wrong with the person... stress, depression, grieving... there are many problems and situations that make us blind to reality... and we focus only on the negative feelings... for too long...

    so... for me...

the first lesson is to take responsibility for myself, my well being, my health...

the second lesson is to take responsibility for everything what is on me... and delegate the rest...

the third lesson is to do in life what I really love and enjoy doing... it means that first I have to put effort into finding it...

the fourth lesson is not hurt other people... and if I do... I fix it and apologise... and it includes everyone set on my way... my kids, my parents, my siblings, aunts and uncles, my friends, my colleagues at work...

the fifth lesson is to experience and enjoy every day... it means setting priorities... and believe me... cooking an cleaning is NOT a priority... but watching your kids discovering a single blade of grass... but watching moving clouds... enjoying a sunrise or a sunset... meeting family or friends...

the sixth lesson is to do one thing at time... solve one problem at time... but do it properly, so you don't have to deal with it again soon... make one phone call at time, and remember with whom and about what you did talk about... text to one person and remember what you did tell them... focus on what you are doing here and now... and enjoy it to the fullest...

the seventh lesson is to be my best friend... love an support myself so I don't need other people doing it for me...

This guy is right about so many things. However he forgets that people have responsibilities. They must pursue a stable career to support a family.

Everybody wants to have a fun job but only.001% of the population ever sees that come true. The rest of us have to settle for at best a job that they do not hate. Not everyone can be an influencer or a TV news anchor.

Back when I lived in The Bronx, I thought a Stoic was a big white bird that delivered babies!
