Is it just me or are people in their 30s looking younger nowadays?

I haven't been alive for that long but I could've sworn when I was a kid the people in their 30s looked like they were in their 30s, there's many people nowadays that are in their 30s but you can't even tell cause they look younger

Believe there is a relative point of view that evolves. Like you described, when I was in my teens, folks in their 30's looked OLD... and those in their 50's or 60's or 70's looked ancient. But as I aged, my perspective changed which I think is pretty normal. I also feel fortunate from a genetics standpoint as I am often mistaken for looking 15-20 years younger.

I also think there is a some birds of a feather aspects to it. I have a friend group from growing up - there's 9 of us - and I've known each of them for over 45-50 years. Only one looks "old" and he has ever since he was in his 20's. And most of my friends from later in life are youthful looking as well.

On the opposite end of this topic, I feel like way too many teens look much older than they are - not sure if it's social media driven - but I've seen friends of my kids and my friends kids etc just seem to not look like what I remember that age looking like when I was that age. Maybe that's a relative point of view too.
