If you say to a guy, that you fancy another guy and he gets mad about some small thing afterwards, is he jealous but hiding it?

I mentioned how I think I fancy someone else on my university course and he said “get in there! 🤣”

then he said “why are you talking to me? Text him then! 😂😂😂”. Which is a bit of an odd thing to say.

Then I jokingly said “oh but I was hoping you me and him could have a threesome? 🤣”

then he said “Mate!! my kid just read “threesome” on my phone.. don’t send stuff like that!! My son was in the car with me and reads things on my phone a lot just so you know!! Hope you’re having a fun evening”.
he’s never gotten mad at me for sending nudes to him because of “his kid”.

Do you think that actually happened or he made that up (or he wasn’t actually mad about that) because he’s jealous that I fancy someone else?

He’s never gotten mad at me before like that so I wasn’t expecting that at all… Is he just entitled and feels entitled to me and my attention.

I don’t think there’s any question that he’s jealous. I also detect some insecurity in his reply — that he’s covering up — guessing he thought he was the only one you might fancy. So he’s acting like he’s mad because his kid read his text. That’s BS.

It’s jealousy , I got the same reaction from my ex when I joked about how hot Kurt Cobain , considering Kurt’s dead I didn’t think he would get offended , but he wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. I don’t mention other men unless my partner asks me if I find someone attractive, just common sense unless I know the guy is okay with me joking with him to get a rise or something on occasion.

Probably could be jealousy and/or his ego, yeah ^^ for sure. I could see myself reacting negatively like that too, even though I try my best not to be petty or get in my own head.

It’s just the fact that I thought he didn’t like me in that way, and it was just a sexual thing. But at the same time he keeps me at arms length. Very strange.

Or it could just be that he feels threatened by the prospect that he might not be enough or that he might not be your favorite ^^ I dunno. Something like that maybe. People's egos are fragile sometimes.
