I personally like tattoos, but in a situation like what you just described, I would perceive that as disrespect. It shows that they don’t value what I think. It’s fine to live life how you want to live it. However, in a relationship, you should respect your partners wishes. If someone is blatantly disrespecting what holds value to their partner, that relationship sounds very much like it’s over to me.

Independently of my tastes or distastes, ethically, it's her personal choice, I'd stand by that. Plus, subjectivity being subjectivity, who says that my hypothetical distaste is not a fantasy more than reality? It remains to be seen and experienced instead of being theorized in the abstract space of my mind.
