Do you try not to keep your eggs in the same basket?

I don't really have much choice, do I?

When I go shopping, I usually buy a carton of 4 or 6 eggs and I don't see myself putting one in each pocket rather in a safer place than the protective carton they came in at the farm. I tend to buy my eggs directly from the farmer down the street.

Since I don't feel like walking home with each egg individually and then fetching the next one, I would say that I do place my eggs in the same carton. So far, nothing bad has ever happened to them and I did not break them yet.

But there is a saying. Don't put all your eggs in the same basket.

I am a student, so I have no bank account, credit card, car, smartphone or house. Thus, I have nothing to put in the same basket except my shopping. As for the laundry, I do put them in the laundry basket, thus, yes, I do put all the clothing and shopping in the same basket (different basket for shopping and laundry)... 😊
