Yes, both in them taking it that way while its not abuse and actual abuse in DM's. There's always gonna be toxic people in DM's unfortunately and I know other straight men are least likely to be targeted by that.

I think it would depend on what they said.

I don't think most people care if somebody is gay. But like for example there was a Trans male to female person on here that was asking (as well as criticizing) straight men for not being attracted to Trans women. I'm sure you can already guess the flack she caught. But to be fair she did kind of ask for it. You can be gay or trans, but you don't get to decide how other feel about homosexuality or Trans.
