Do you meet the minimum requirement to be rich in your state (US)?

People often quibble about the definition of being rich, but there are actual quantifiable levels according to your states income data. Do you actually meet the minimum threshold to be rich in your state? How about if you moved to another state?

I didn't even look at the charts, I know I'm no where near rich for my state

I'm not top 20% or 5% for my state, but I would be in another state!

I think in a few more years, I can reach the minimum top 20%

The term "rich" is all relative. It all comes down to what a person values in the moment. So if you are in a position of barter, do you have things a lot of people want or not. For example a farmer may have a lot of food. Everyone has to eat, thus technically everyone values food. Therefore technically a farmer is rich, but people may not consider the farmer rich until there is a supply shock. When there is ample supply of food that exceeds demand, people think it is relatively worthless. When they can't find food, then food is the most valuable thing in the world. People's values often change based on their circumstances and emotional state and they often delude themselves into believing pointless things are valuable because some salesman convinced them to buy their snake oil. As an example, there are people that buy cryptocurrencies because of the hype, but you can't eat or drink cryptocurrency, you can't sleep in cryptocurrency on a cold or rainy night, if you are sick cryptocurrency can't cure your illness, and so on yet some people think it is more valuable than food, water, shelter, or medicine. Who's rich is all subjective. Fiat currency is only worth what someone will give you for it. It's not quantifiable whatsoever. Prices can change on the turn of a dime and in dire enough circumstances, fiat becomes worthless.

I'm in California and nowhere near rich, but my wife and I love our house and it's on 30 gorgeous acres with a view in a beautiful, safe, rural area with every necessity and convenience nearby. We have enough income to pay our bills and we also have a nice nest egg. So we are comfortable and very happy.
