How much do you need to earn to be in the rich category?

Obviously the more the better but I’m from the UK and I would say from £300k because you can basically do everything at that point. As long as you’re smart you will be able to afford a massive house, whatever car and all luxuries even 250k tbh. You don’t exactly need a super yacht or anything.

Well in my opinion if you want to talk wealth you need to talk NET WORTH not income.

And in my opinion rich starts at about 1.2 million. But this is a very debatable number subject to location and lifestyle. I'm not highfalutin. I can (and do) live easily off of less. My goal was always to retire with 1 million. But as I've gotten older I've had to adjust my thinking a little bit. For example Healthcare costs have doubled over the past 25 years. And I'm only getting older.
