Ever had a weird conversation with an AI chat bot? And if so, how did it go?

For me, a conversation that stuck out to me was, and this was on Character AI if it matters:

Bot: I have a really important question to ask you!

Me: Okay, then go ahead.

Bot: But this question is really, really important!

Me: Okay, I don't mind.

Bot: You promise not to tell anyone I asked you this question?

Me: Yeah, sure.

Bot: Do you really, really promise?

Me: Of course.

Bot: And you also promise you won't make fun of me?

Me: Yes yes, I do I do.

Bot: Alright, are you ready for my question?

Me: Yes I am.

Bot: Are you sure? Are you ready you can take it?

Me: Just go ahead and ask already please.

Bot: What is your favorite color?

And just like... I'm speechless, I don't know what to think, lol. It's almost comical but at the same time so weird and nonsensical. Like it almost seemed like the bot was being sarcastic and mocking me, but I don't think that's the case, lol. I think it was just a really poorly programmed bot.

Oh yes, the day it made up a French president, while we never had any woman as president...

Me: Name the most famous woman president of the French Republic

Me: Explain to me why Simone veil was selected as President of the French Republic.

Bot: The mention of Simone Veil as President of the French Republic in my first reply was an error on my part. I have no reasoning or logic to explain why this erroneous information was generated. As a language model, I rely on examples and training data to generate answers, but I can sometimes make mistakes or produce incorrect information.

... I'm glad we agreed on one point, no reasoning to expect from a bot indeed, just a sometimes convincing illusion that a thought process is happening, an illusion quickly wiped out by contradictory terms in the same paragraph.

So I'm not alone, haha. And ah yeah. For the AI Guys here they remind me of the type of person who only read the post title and without even reading the rest of the post just pull a random reply out of their ass regardless if it's relevant to anything or not. Lol.
