Sometimes, it's the little things that make you smile later on while relaxing in bed.

Still getting my day started, but for yesterday, I noticed at the last second a little girl, probably about 11 or so, waiting at a crosswalk, so I hit the brakes so the traffic coming the other way would see me stopped and stop for her.

She was wearing a bright pink winter coat and had a big full backpack, so she kinda just looked like a cute little schoolkid, I assume school had just let out, there’s an elementary school nearby there. So it funny when you see a little kid with a bag half their size😝

Anyway, she was VERY vigorously waving “thank you” to me and the other driver who stopped, and gave me a second one when she reached the other sidewalk, and I was waving back to her, and I was just like “awww, what a sweet kid.”🤗

I think these days I’m just excited to see goodness coming from a human being for a change, lmao, we’re down to counting on the innocent to supply it😂

I gave a quiz in one of my courses on Tuesday. One of my students was sick and she could not be there so I told her she could take a make up exam on Thursday (today). I told her to bring writing utensils and a 4 function calculator. I do not allow cell phones because they could use them to cheat.

I set her up in my office to take the quiz, She had a calculator and she has a label on it that said "Emergency Calculator" . I asked her about the label and she said it was her emergency calculator. I asked her if she needed a backup and what kind of math emergency she was having.

Today I was sitting on my patio and I could see (AND HEAR) the roosters and chickens but today was different.
There were 4 roosters, two chickens and two kitty cats in the same yard and they were all getting along great together!
Why don't people take a lesson from the animals that we can all get along together❣️

When my wife dropped me off at the airport, she was in such a hurry to get out of the car and give me a hug and kiss goodbye, she forgot to unfasten her seat belt and slide out of the car and onto the concrete. She called me and said she has a big bruise on her hip and is sore. I'm still smiling/laughing about it! I'm a prick, I know but it was funny. Everyone else was helping her and asking if she's okay as I stood there laughing 😂😂😂

There was a lady who walked into the coffee shop I'm at. Just a very normal lady; definitely a plain Jane. South Asian. No makeup. Slender. Plainly dressed.

She gave me a smile and then sat down to meet with a friend. She made me smile because she's very relaxed. I like relaxed people

I was waiting for the bus after a therapy appointment and there was an older woman crying. I felt bad but wasn't sure what to do but I saw tissues on the table, so I walked over and picked them up off the table and brought them to her. She said thank you and gave me a small smile and it made me happy.
