Sure, the nutcases believed the world was gonna end. Same as the MAGA cult today believes tRump is a genius that actually cares about them. There were numerous Christian "end times" cults. Those idiots can't wait for the world to end so White Baby Jesus will take them all to "Heaven" while all the people they hate, which is almost everyone else, will go straight to "Hell". There were the Mayan calendar "believers". But 95% of humanity just yawned their way through News Years Eve.

Yup all the adults around me were buzzing about their fear. I didn't understand and tried to get explanations what they feared?

Nobody knew what they feared it was just blind panic... except one lawyer that said the computer won't know the date "01/01/00" was AFTER "12/12/99" it made sense but i argued computer programmers noticed n prepared.

The lawyer paid me 20$ on the bet!

I remember most didn't believe in it, but some did.

Kind of like how they thought it was 2012 (end of the mayan calendar, and of these catastrophic world events happened that year too).

I just know the weirdest coincidence is that most zippers have YKK inscribed on them. Imagine the conspiracy 😂😂
